Brave it through the night shirt design
My good friend Dean, the creator of Brave it thought the night, has the voice of a silken haired maiden and the body of a russian bear wrestler. I made a shirt design for him recently and I'm happy with the way it came out, clean and serene. It's a nice chance to draw something less grisly than usual. Flex those muscles.
Go check them out. It will make you feel better.

LOOK AT ALL THIS DUST.
Man, I'm doing that thing that I didn't want to do. Never put anything up here.
Some things in the pipes, some things leaving the pipes. Wanted to give the old blog a bit of a lift so I made a new type for it.
Click it and go have a look bigger. Which one is the winner?

Fat Guy
Haven't posted for a while, so I thought I'd bam up a horrible birthday card. It started as a monster, then it was a fat guy. Ok. All wacom in photoshop.
The inside of the card read "Yeah, I don't know either"
Thursday
Guardian
Finished a big painting recently so I thought I'd chuck up the process.
Each bit was painted with a separate piece of wood. Mostly motley old ply.
Built up layers of a mixture of watered down acrylic, sepia ink and some weird shimmery ink I once used for a unicorn (painting).
Cut each piece out with a jigsaw
Arranged and rearranged
Then screwed it all together
Finished.
Then on the wall at the opening

Fetish
Been a bit sick lately with some rad mystery illness, so been a bit slow on the art front. Decided cleaning my shed would be good a good therapeutic activity and started to gather all my markers together. I do love markers. Would love to see a few other peoples collections.

Deliverance We Prey
Up and coming metal act Deliverance We Prey approached me a little while ago to do some merch design for them. They had a rough design and an concept and basically just let me run with it.
Super early concept. Guy getting choked with a big old rope.
Ditched the guy in the back and went for a 'zombie on a leash' sort of thing.
Decided to zoom right in and focus on detail. Shading was chosen with a two colour print in mind. Using a sweet toy skull I had as a reference I made up a filthy zombie man. I also learned how to tie a noose. The internet is awesome.
Added filth goo from the mouth. I redid the goo though after my wise drawing cohort Ahab suggested more movement was needed.
Detailed the FUCK out of the rope.
Colour variant mockups. Pink. Winner.
Not really. The old fave red won out. Click for bigness.
I'll post a pic when I get the shirt.
